SENSS Annual Conference 2026

The SeNSS/SENSS Annual Conference 2026 took place at the University of Lincoln from Wednesday 8 to Friday 10 July 2026.

The 2026 conference followed the theme of ‘the future of social sciences’. Key sessions that took place included:

• ‘Designing hopeful futures’ keynote address with Sarah Hounsley, Design Futurist: Freelance Trend Forecaster, Writer, Researcher and Editor.

• ‘Making Social Sciences futures’ – a session with our Post-Doctoral Fellows.

• Deep-dive cross-Pathway/Thematic area discussion sessions on the future of social science.

• A roundtable discussion as the final session to our SENSS Scholar Series: Social Sciences Futures training series.

• Plenty of time to socialise and get to know each other, including a BBQ on the first night followed by a quiz hosted by the SENSS Doctoral Researcher Committee, and a drinks reception and formal dinner on the second night.
