SENSS Summer Conference 2025

The SeNSS/SENSS Summer Conference 2025 is scheduled to take place at Cranfield University from Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 July 2025.

This year’s conference - which follows the theme of ‘social sciences beyond academia’ - is our first conference bringing together the cohorts from both DTP1 and DTP2.

Key sessions planned for this year’s conference will include:

  • ‘Social sciences beyond academia’ keynote address with Pam Cox, former SeNSS Director and MP for Colchester.

  • ‘Public discourse and harassment in online spaces’ presentation and discussion, hosted by ‘The Conversation’

  • Deep-dive cross-Pathway/Thematic area discussion sessions.

  • A roundtable discussion as the final session to our SENSS Scholar Series: Generative AI in Research training series.

  • Plenty of time to socialise and get to know each other, including a BBQ on the first night followed by a quiz hosted by the SeNSS Student Committee, and a drinks reception and formal dinner on the second night.
